NOVA Day 2025: A world shaped by AI – what’s our move?

For the third year in a row, NOVA Consulting Group brought together leaders, technology experts, industry professionals, and decision-makers to explore how technology is shaping society for NOVA Day Oslo. This year’s theme – perhaps unsurprisingly – was AI.On April 2nd, we gathered 200 participants at Hotel Bristol in Oslo for an event that sparked bold questions and lively debate: Is it typically Norwegian to settle for mediocrity? Would NVIDIA have survived in Norway? And does AI suffer from a positioning problem? These were just some of the topics our expert speakers explored at NOVA Day 2025. Watch a recap of the day in this short film.

Bridging the Gap: When Business and Technology Don't Speak the Same Language

Do these comments sound familiar? "Can't the developers just..." "It's only a small change..." "Why is this taking so long?" "Can't we deliver this feature first and handle the technical stuff later?"

While these statements may seem innocent, they often lead to significant frustration and reveal a deeper issue: the lack of a common language between business and technology teams.

The Problem

We frequently observe that business stakeholders are either too removed from development processes or too closely involved without proper understanding. Most critically, many organizations lack the tools and insights needed to effectively prioritize alongside their technical teams and make informed decisions.

The consequences are clear:

  • Growing technical debt
  • Misaligned priorities
  • Slow progress and frustrated teams

Our Solution

For over 15 years, our company Novanet has operated at the intersection of this tension. We've witnessed what happens when technology and business try to pull together without shared direction and language. That's why we've built a comprehensive environment to help improve this collaboration:

  • Product managers who connect business objectives with technical reality
  • Tech leads who make technical debt visible and manageable
  • Agile coaches who help teams and business find common rhythm
  • Change leaders who build collaboration, not silos

The result? Teams that deliver both fast and right.

With product managers, tech leads, agile coaches, and change advisors, Novanet has built a strong foundation for better collaboration.

A big thank you to all our partners, colleagues, and clients for your continued support and collaboration. From all of us at NOVA Consulting Group: We wish you all a fantastic and relaxing summer! ☀️
