Cathrine Bothner Wessel joins Rocket as COO.

Rocket Strengthens Leadership Team with New COO from Å Energi

Rocket, part of NOVA Consulting Group, has appointed Cathrine Bothner Wessel from the Å Energi Group to the newly established role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), completing its executive leadership team.

NOVA’s marketing agency, Rocket, welcomed Cathrine Bothner Wessel as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) on October 1st. She joins directly from the Å Energi Group, where she held key leadership roles in brand, customer experience, communications, and marketing. Wessel enters the executive team with a clear mandate: to build structure and culture for further scaling.

Wessel reports an energetic start at the agency:

“I’ve received a fantastic welcome at Rocket. It’s a team with incredible drive, strong professional expertise, and a distinct ‘we’ culture. Stepping into the COO role at this moment—when the company is gearing up for its next growth phase within NOVA—is incredibly motivating. I’m excited to channel my energy into building the structure and culture that will ensure we scale in a way that supports both our people and our clients,” says Cathrine Bothner Wessel.

With Wessel onboard, Rocket’s executive team now consists of Magnus Strømnes Bøe, Vegard Rohde Garder, and Stefan Skogevall.

Managing Director Magnus Strømnes Bøe highlights the appointment as a key strategic move for the company:

“We now have a complete leadership team, with a strong focus on nurturing and developing our people. Cathrine has quickly taken on a crucial role, and her main focus will be to ensure we have the systems and culture needed as we continue to grow,” says Bøe.

He emphasizes that the new leadership composition is a strategic advantage:

“With Cathrine in place, we not only have a complete executive team, but also one with strengthened dynamics and broader perspectives. That’s essential for making the right decisions during Rocket’s current growth phase.”

Bøe also points out that the focus on employees is deeply embedded in the company’s strategy — not just within the leadership team:

“This isn’t just something we talk about; it must be rooted throughout the organization. That’s why we’re incredibly proud that Suad Jama joined the board earlier this year as an employee representative. It ensures that the voice of our employees is heard clearly in all strategic discussions. With both the executive team and board in place, Rocket is ready for the future,” Bøe concludes.
