These are the highlights for some of our developers at this year's NDC

June 10-14, NDC is held at Oslo Spektrum and our developers are looking forward to five days of inspiration, professional updates, and social gatherings. We asked our developers what they are most looking forward to.

Magnus Sigvartsen

Magnus, developer at Novacare

Which speakers do you want to see?

Dylan Beattie Mandy Michael Tomas Jansson Nick Chapsas Amy Kapernick.

What do you want to learn more about?
I like to have knowledge about the whole stack, so I want to learn more about fullstack and frontend. Looks like there are some cool talks on html, next, and react.

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
The social aspect! Being with colleagues in a different setting, watching interesting talks, and eating good food. It's fun to meet former colleagues and new people too, and see the life at NDC!

Tomas Hensrud Gulla

Tomas, CTO at Novacare

Which speakers do you want to see?

Often it's the topic of the presentation that's important, but there are some speakers I want to see no matter what they talk about! Troy Hunt, from Australia, often talks about security and also touches on career development. Dylan Beattie, the one with the hat and leather vest, and who is behind the programming language Rockstar, always has interesting and entertaining presentations. Karl Solgård, a colleague who is on the NDC stage for the first time! Cool!

What do you want to learn more about?
.NET Aspire and the news in .NET 8. Security, performance, and accessibility. AI, especially practical use and security. Otherwise, there tends to be a lot of interesting things in the categories of "soft skills", "work skills", "ethics", and "fun".

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
Meeting former, current, and maybe future colleagues in a different setting than I do daily. NDC-Party on Thursday, where "The Linebreakers" (including Dylan Beattie) play and Anders Norås talks about the history of WinAmp.

Asle, senior consultant at Novanet

Which speakers do you want to see?

I'm most looking forward to seeing my colleague, Hallstein's lightning talk". You can find Hallstein's lightning talk in the program here

What do you want to learn more about?
I want to be updated on the latest in technology, especially .NET.

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to hanging out with colleagues in Novanet and NOVA Consulting Group.

Robert, technical tester at Epinova

Which speakers do you want to see?
This is my first time at NDC and for me, who has most experience with Java, there will be a lot of exciting things to catch. I'm looking forward to Dylan Beattie and Nick Chapsas and not least Troy Hunt.

What do you want to learn more about?
As a test developer, I find it very exciting to see how experienced developers work and think. NDC is an excellent arena for me to gain more insight into the fields I work closely with, but don't necessarily spend whole days on myself.

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
Walking around for a few days and getting to know other developers is a lot of fun. Maybe you'll learn something new or get to know other like-minded people.

Robin, Optimizely expert/senior backend developer at Epinova

Which speakers do you want to see?

It's always cool to see skilled lecturers who make more of a show out of it. So the ones I'm most looking forward to seeing are Nick Chapsas, Dylan Beattie, and David Whitney.

What do you want to learn more about?
For me, NDC is mostly about getting inspired and maybe not so much about learning new things. Often you sit alone at home and learn new things in development, so it's very nice to gather and meet others who have the same interest. That being said, I'm playing with .NET Aspire in the evenings. Therefore, I'm looking forward to Friday's keynote on Aspire.

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
I'm very curious about how the "floor" looks this year and who else will be there.

Ludvig Vik Løite

Ludvig, consultant at Edge

Which speakers do you want to see?
I am looking forward to seeing "Solo Devs' AI Odyssey: From Code to Calm" with Matthijs van der Veer & Thijs Limmen. This is about how to use various AI/GPT solutions to be able to do most processes yourself. I will also see Sven Peters with the post "Developer Joy - How great teams get s%*t done", Taylor Troesh with "Developing for the Apple" and Vision Pro" and "How we achieved extreme scale under the hood in Azure Functions" with Paul Yuknewicz.

What do you want to learn more about?
How to use these new AI/GPT tools as efficiently as possible. Specifically, which services work best for what, and how can you adapt prompts to generate what you want. Also about how to work effectively together in teams.

Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to?
Lightning Talks and dinner with the team, as well as meeting other like-minded people from the entire Nova Group.

Bård Gunnar, advisor at Egde

Which speakers do you want to see?
Dylan Beattie is always a highlight. Same with Liam Westley. I'm also looking forward to hearing Nick Chapsas "live".
What do you want to learn more about?AI, patterns, best practices, and "news".
Other highlights at NDC that you are looking forward to? I must mention the NDC Party, but also nice days with colleagues and inspiration. The food is also a highlight.
