The challenge
DNV had started work on a
new five-year corporate strategy, and decided to get a head start with a new
marketing- and communication technology strategy. The goal was to understand
and navigate technological shift and key trends impacting the marketing and
communications community. The challenge was to create a unified strategy that
involved all business areas, each with strong global perspectives and opinions.
The solution
Leveraging NOVA’s combined expertise in
digital strategy, technology, and strategic communication, we developed a
comprehensive approach to DNV’s new five-year corporate strategy. Our process
was focused around a shared 12-week intensive process, gathering expectations
and involving representatives from all business areas.
The process involved multiple facilitated workshops involving a wide group of leaders within the global marketing and communications community. We identified and prioritized key technological trends, developed a future vision for DNV’s marketing and communication community and created a detailed roadmap of strategic impact areas across how to build a shared digital foundation, how to enable integration and acceleration of new initiatives and how to ensure performance and future growth up to- and beyond the end of the strategy period.

The Result
The result is a well-anchored plan that
unifies DNV’s business areas, with various programs set to launch in 2026 and
throughout the strategy period, starting with a shared digital foundation
across all business areas to allow DNV to operate in a well-coordinated manner.
The strategy project contributes to DNV’s corporate strategy and through strong
involvement and a shared vision, we helped establish an effective approach to
navigate a period of significant change.
As part of our deliverables, we also produced a film titled "The Future is Here" in collaboration with DNV. The film serves as a visual narrative focusing on strategy and the future, entirely developed using generative AI technology. The project highlights the innovative use of AI in storytelling and strategic communication, aligning with themes of digital transformation and innovation. The film was designed to engage internal stakeholders and align them with DNV’s future-oriented strategy.
